Chiocciola wins Seconda Prova

Just now, at 9 am, the Seconda Prova of the Palio of July 2, 2022 was driven. We did not see any changes with the fantini.

The horses were called between the ropes in reverse order from last night: Torre, Pantera, Civetta, Chiocciola, Bruco, Drago, Lupa, Leocorno, Istrice and Valdimontone as rincorsa.

A lot less nervousness between the ropes today than yesterday. Only Bruco still seems to have a lot of trouble. It is, however, the first to leave when Valdimontone enters after about 8 minutes, along with Pantera and Istrice. Bruco rides a good first lap, after which Chiocciola comes up. Chiocciola drives more than one lap at a nice pace and wins this Seconda Prova.
