Leocorno wins Terza Prova
The order of entry between the ropes, still under the command of mossiere Renato Bircolotti, followed that of the assignment of the horses: Valdimontone, Civetta, Leocorno, Torre, Istrice, Drago, Bruco , Pantera , Lupa and Chiocciola as rincosa.
The fantini were just the same as the previous prove.
After the horses were called between the ropes for the first time, there was some commotion when Civetta’s horse reared up and landed with its legs over the rope. It was immediately lowered. A second alignment does not help either. The starter lets everyone go back outside.
At the third alignment, the confusion between the ropes increases with some skirmishes between Istrice’s fantini and Lupa. Bircolotti reacted immediately to this. A little later, Chiocciola decides to enter. Torre, Pantera (again), Lupa and Istrice start first.
In the first San Martino, Pantera turns first. He brakes at the start. Lupa and Leocorno pass. In the second San Martino, the fantino of the Civetta, Bighino falls from his horse.
Leocorno is about Lupa and wins this prove with Andrea Coghe detto Tempesta on Volpino.
