On May 25, 2025, the draw was held for the Palio of the Madonna of Provenzano, scheduled for July 2, 2025. The seven districts that were not allowed to participate were, in principle, guaranteed their place on July 2, 2026.
Nicchio will not be present due to disqualification, the last one. This means that four contrade were drawn on May 31: Bruco, Drago, Valdimontone and Oca.
The following six contrade were guaranteed participation: Onda, Civetta, Giraffa, Leocorno, Aquila, and Torre.
So, we have three rivalries: Oca-Torre, Onda-Torre and Civetta-Leocorno.
The drappellone will be painted by Ismaele Nones and will commemorate the 800th anniversary of the death of San Francesco.

Since July 6, 2025, we have known which contrade will run the Palio on August 16, 2026.
For the first time in years, we will have a regular draw of three contrade.
Selva, Chiocciola, Oca, Nicchio, Lupa, Istrice, and Torre are guaranteed participation. On July 5 2026 Aquila, Onda and Giraffa were drawn.
With Oca-Torre, Onda-Torre and Istrice-Lupa, we will see three rivalries on the Piazza.
The drappellone will be painted by Teodora Axente. It will commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Camollia on August 25, 1526.
