Valdimontone, Oca, Istrice and Selva enthusiastic

The allocation of the horses to the ten Contrade that will participate in the Palio di Siena on August 16, 2024 took place from 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, August 13. The mayor of Siena, Nicoletta Fabio, paired Contrade and horses drawn by an innocent child’s hand.

In a lot in which only Tabacco has won a Palio, with six horses that have run at least one Palio (Zenis 1, Veranu 2, Ares Elce 1, Viso d’Angelo 5, Brivido Sardo 1 and Tabacco 7), and four debutants (Zentiles, Comancio, Benitos and Canarinu), the contradaioli of Valdimontone are happy about Veranu, those of Oca about Ares Elce, Istrice about Viso d’Angelo and those of Selva about Tabacco.
