The PalioApp has received yet another round of updates!

We haven’t been sitting still over the past month. The PalioApp has received many improvements, based on suggestions from users, friends, and others.

The database has been further expanded all the way back to the origins of the Palio, instead of only going back to 1900 as it did in July. All fantini, horses and Palio information are now included.

A search bar has been added to the homepage, allowing you to search by fantino, horse or year. As soon as a Palio has been run, a link will appear on the homepage leading directly to the information page for that particular Palio.

The detail pages of fantini and horses that have already taken part in the Palio now have a filter that allows you to view only the Palios they have won. On the horse pages of horses enlisted for the previsite, you can now also see their trainer. Tapping the trainer’s name takes you to a detail page showing all the horses they have trained.

The detail page of each contrada has received two new subpages: one showing all Palios in which the contrada has taken part or won, and another showing all fantini making their debut for that contrada.

The Cavalli, Fantini, Contrade and Statistiche pages have been completely redesigned. The lists now have their own dedicated pages, accessible through a link from the respective main page. This makes everything much clearer and more user-friendly. We have also added many new lists that can be accessed from these pages.

Finally, every page now has a share button at the bottom, as well as a back button to better support iOS users.
