Follow the 4 giorni on TV or radio?

Siena has two regional TV channels. In addition to Canale 3, there is also SienaTV.

From 27 June to 3 July, SienaTV will start a modified programming around the Palio. As in previous years, they will focus on many live broadcasts, supporting programs with analyses and some established formats dedicated to the Palio.

You can follow them via digital TV in the Siena region (Digitale terrestre canale 91), radio (Radio Siena 92.2 and 93.7 fm) and for anyone who is not in Siena via the website (https://www.radiosienatv.it) and its social channels.

The live coverage starts with the broadcast of the presentation of the drappellone on June 26 at 7:00 PM and Prove regolamentate on June 27 and 28, each time from 5:30 AM.

On June 29, in addition to the registration of the horses, they will also broadcast the batterie and the assegnazione. In the afternoon, they will look back daily on the prove that has been ridden and look ahead to what is to come.

On July 2, they will broadcast the Corteo Storico from 5:00 PM. Then follows the broadcast of the Palio, but you will only be able to see this on La7 (more later). From 11:00 PM follows “Processo al Palio”, full of commentaries, interviews and analyses of the race that has just been ridden.

All batterie of the tratta and prove will of course also be broadcast.

On July 3, in addition to the replays of the Palio, they will traditionally do an extensive evaluation of the Palio in the afternoon.

Canale 3 also broadcasts everything (tratta, prove, Palio) under the established name “96 ore di Palio”. In the afternoon there is always the program with the ex-fantini who shed light on everything that is going on. Canale 3 can be seen via the website: Canale3.tv.

Also the online news site Gazzetta di Siena will broadcast everything: the presentation of the Palio, Prove di Notte, Tratta en prove. They also have some programs where they discuss the events. This can be followed via their website, youtube and facebook.
