On May 26, 2024, the draw was held for the Palio of the Madonna of Provenzano on July 2, 2024. The seven districts that were not allowed to participate were in principle assured of their place on July 2, 2025.
Torre (2) and Aquila (1) will not be there due to disqualification. Nicchio will also not be allowed to participate in the event of a draw and will serve a suspension.
On May 25, 5 contrade were drawn out of the potential 9 competitors. Lupa, Oca, Bruco, Valdimontone and Pantera were drawn.
With Tartuca-Chiocciola and istrice-Lupa we have 2 rivalries on the Piazza.
The drappellone will be painted by Riccardo Manganelli.

Since July 7, 2024, we know which contrade will run the Palio of August 16, 2025.
Torre and possibly Nicchio (if not drawn in July) will not be there due to disqualification. If Nicchio is drawn, they will serve their suspension. Aquila will return from suspension and will be able to participate again after 1.5 years of inactivity.
So 4 contrade will be drawn on the first Sunday after the Palio in July.
With Aquila-Pantera, we can already see a rivalry on the Piazza.
The drappellone will be painted by Francesco De Grandi.
With regard to suspended fantini:
- Bighino: 5 palio (can participate in August 2026)
- Granito: 1 palio (can participate in August 2025)
- Tamurè: 2 palio(can participate in july 2026)
- Velluto: 1 palio (can participate in August 2025)
